The construction of the 53 km motorway and the 4 km Tuam Bypass dual carriageway - part of the Atlantic Corridor on the west coast - will take thousands of vehicles out of Clarinbridge, Claregalway and Tuam each day. It will be constructed as a Public Private Partnership project. There will be no tolls on the route. Hundreds of jobs will be created during the construction process, which will bring major economic benefit to towns adjacent to the route. I am delighted to see the Government deliver on this project.
